Transcriptions from the 1841, 1851, 1861, 1871, 1881 and 1891 Censuses

These transcriptions are of people whose birthplace or nationality are given as Italy or Italian. The names have many spelling mistakes which occurred at the original time of recording, so it's worth trying different spellings for any ancestor you're looking for. To save loading time the censuses have been broken down into parts listed in alphabetical order.

The transcriptions which have been kindly sent in by members and non-members will not be updated but we do have a CD with the completed census years indexed for 99% of all the Italians living in the UK, Wales and Scotland.  This CD is well worth obtaining if you have not found your elusive ancestor.
